Measurement of Charge Distributions in Coaxial Cable Using the Pulsed Electroacoustic Method

Abstract
The accumulated space charge distribution in the insulating material of coaxial cable was measured by the pulsed electroacoustic method. PVDF film was used for detecting the acoustic signal which has the information of space charge distribution. PVDF was bent easily for the coaxial surface of the cylindrical sample. We will discuss the transfer function of the measurement system in the frequency domain to obtain the resolution of this measurement system.
