Abstract
THE purpose of this paper is to discuss recent controversial issues regarding the problem of deafness and to relate significant advances in its detection, diagnosis and treatment. The subject of aural rehabilitation is not included.Hearing Tests School Hearing Tests The realization that successful treatment of deafness depends in large measure on early application of therapeutic measures has led to intensive programs for the detection of incipient deafness in the public schools.
