Abstract
The technique of small-angle neutron scattering has been used to study the molecular conformation of polyolefins in the solid state under a variety of crystallising conditions. The results indicate the presence of stems equal in length to twice the d-spacing as measured by small angle X-ray scattering. In addition to this, preliminary results are presented on seed crystallized and also on cold drawn polypropylene samples which indicate the existence of a novel structural feature. Keywords
