Abstract
The article discusses a study conducted in a senior level class at California State College in San Bernardino, California in 1972. The eleven students were asked to complete the Miner Sentence Completion Scale during the first class. The study revealed that approximately 58 percent of the students showed a negative orientation toward the managerial role, 13 percent were neutral, and 29 percent viewed the role in a positive light. According to the author, the study also suggested that the attitudes of the negative students could be changed by an appropriate use of management education techniques.
