Abstract
A new seismicity map of Sweden for the period 1951–1976 is presented. The map and the corresponding catalogue are based essentially on seismographic records made in the Nordic countries. The use of such records, in combination with improved methods of analysis, has made it possible not only to produce a more complete and more accurate seismicity map, but also to revise several earlier conclusions, based on macroseismie information only. In view of the great current interest in the seismicity of Sweden, from both the engineering and the tec-tonophysical viewpoints, a summary is given of the pertinent papers produced at the Seismological Institute, Uppsala. Keywords
