Abstract
A case study is presented of a withdrawn, female adolescent evidencing obsessional preoccupations concerning her parents' health and sexuality. A brief intervention, combining a variation of the Hypnotic Induction Profile with imagery suggested by the patient, was employed for the management of her anxiety and disturbing ideation. An eighth-month follow-up revealed a rapid and substantial alteration in her behavior toward her family and others. Keywords
