Abstract
A family with slowly progressive, X-linked, type IIIb (Becker type) muscular dystrophy is described. Previously reported familial cases of type IIIb muscular dystrophy (MD) are reviewed. Clinical and laboratory findings of type IIIa MD are compared with findings of type IIIb, and evidence is presented that type IIIa and type IIIb represent different disease entities. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
