Abstract
Auditory feedback of laryngeal muscle tension was found to reduce stuttering dramatically in an exploratory study of a single patient. Amplitude of EMG signals was similarly reduced. Apparently, the therapeutic effect of biofeedback cannot be attributed to masking, distraction, or suggestion.Keywords
