Abstract
Injn. of Thorotrast or Angiopac, a colloidal organic iodide prepn., abolishes resistance to the Shwartzman reaction within 30 min. and for at least 24 hrs. Treatment with these materials enhances strikingly the lethal effect of bacterial toxin and animals given Thorotrast manifest increased susceptibility to the local injurious effect of intra-dermally-injd. toxin. Keywords
