Abstract
A method of solving the exact characteristic value problem to which a study of the hydrodynamic stability of viscous flow between rotating cylinders leads one, is described. In illustration of the method, detailed numerical results are obtained for the case when the ratio of the radii of the two cylinders is one-half.Keywords
