Abstract
WASMII is a data driven virtual hardware system based on a multi-context device. Implementation experience of WASMII revealed that the total frequency was often severely degraded by the design of the most complicated context. An approach to address this problem is using asynchronized operation. In this paper, we propose and Async-WASMII, in which each context works in asynchronous manner and implemented it on an asynchronous reconfigurable device PCA (Plastic Cell Architecture). As an application, an encryption algorithm, Rijndael is implemented and evaluated. Author(s) Adachi, Y. Dept. of Inf. & Comput.
