Quantitative Studies in Anaphylaxis

Abstract
Summary: The anaphylactic sensitivity of guinea pigs sensitized with different doses of ovalbumin was determined by gross anaphylaxis. The dose required to elicit fatal anaphylactic shock increased with increase of the sensitizing dose when the incubational period was held constant at 21 days. Under certain conditions the minimal fatal shock-doses may be smaller than the lowest dose that is sufficient to sensitize.
