Abstract
The MacAndrew Scale scores of 122 men alcoholics who were smokers and 19 who were nonsmokers were 29.08 and 26.79. The men (mean age 37) were all within 2 wk of discharge from a state hospital and all but 1, an American Indian, were whites. The MacAndrew Scale apparently can be used to measure personality factors related to the misuse of addictive substances. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
