Abstract
The observations reviewed are divided into those in which plasma, and those in which hydrolyzed protein, was injected into animals and into man. Nitrogen balance can be maintained in both animals and man by the intraven. adm. of compatible plasma, or of a soln. of the essential amino acids, or of certain protein hydrolysates.
