Prevention of Vitamin A Deficiency

Abstract
A single massive oral dose of vitamin A (100,000 μg) given to normal preschool children maintained higher serum levels for about 13 weeks compared to the controls. The same dose given to vitamin A-depleted children maintained adequate serum levels for about 15 weeks.Keywords
