A Review of Proximal Focal Femoral Deficiencies

Abstract
Twenty-six limbs with proximal focal femoral deficiency have been reviewed with particular reference to the treatment given. An attempt has been made to elaborate on the problems involved. Limb-length inequality and stability of the affected limb present the fundamental problems. The aim of treatment has been to make the foreshortened limb as suitable as possible for prosthetic wear. The different forms of treatment performed have been discussed and our impressions given.
