Ratio between edge and bulk currents in the quantum Hall effect

Abstract
The Hall potential distribution and the current distribution in long Hall-bar samples are calculated by considering explicitly the presence of sample edges. We distinguish edge currents from bulk currents to determine the fraction of edge currents.Keywords
