Abstract
Long dashIn the triploid rye plant with 4 accessory chromosomes. Secale cereale, the behavior of accessory chromosomes was compared with an original diploid. The association of normal chromosomes was probably not influenced by the presence of accessory chromosomes. The metaphase I configurations of accessory chromosomes in the triploid were the same in the original diploids, but their frequencies differed. The frequency of multivalents, such as quadrivalent and trivalent, was lower than that in the diploid. The association of accessory chromosomes is possibly reduced by the increase of normal chromosome complements. The disjunction of accessory chromosomes in the triploid may be disturbed along with the abnormal segregation of normal chromosomes.
