Experimental Autografting of Gastric Mucosa in the Urinary Tract to Maintain Persistent Acid Urine

Abstract
Gastric mucosa was transplanted to the bladder of adult mongrel dogs. Grafts from the upper portion of the stomach produced more acid urine than those nearer the pylorus. In several dogs ulceration of the bladder developed, probably due to proteolytic enzymes produced by the graft.
