Abstract
Treatment with H2SO4 and H2O2 is not sufficient for the dissolution of samples of poly(vinyl chloride)(PVC) containing carbon black. For such samples, fuming HNO3 is necessary after the conventional treatment. This procedure has no adverse effect on the determination of cadmium, antimony and tin by atomic absorption spectrometry, which can be carried out with good precision and reliability. Keywords
