Abstract
Educational activities are a background to research and to a dynamic, developing discipline. The principles now being applied in undergraduate curricula are applicable to teaching and training in laboratory medicine. A fresh look at the education and training and an implementation of new educational techniques is necessary to prepare a cadre of individuals who will be developing laboratory medicine in the 21st century. Keywords
