Abstract
Visible Escherichia coli were eliminated from the stools of 5 patients within 1-2 days after the start of a daily oral adm. of 1 g. of streptomycin. E. coli returned promptly when streptomycin was discontinued. Other organisms such as fecal streptococci, Bacterioides, Clostridia, and Candida were unaffected. Keywords
