Abstract
We study the dynamics of phase separation in models with different forms for the free-energy functional and address the question of dynamical universality. In large-scale computer simulations carried out in two dimensions, we find that for a model of polymer mixtures the growth exponent is the same as that found in models for binary alloys. Although the growth exponent is universal, we find, quite surprisingly, that the scaling function for the polymer mixtures is somewhat different than the binary-alloy scaling function. Keywords
