Abstract
A weekly dose of 250 mg of mefloquine (Lariam) is being used by U.S. forces for chemoprophylaxis against malaria in Somalia. We report two cases of malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum in U.S. soldiers who were taking mefloquine.Keywords
