The determination of plasma fibrinogen by the clot-weight method

Abstract
Daily detns. on a stored plasma sample showed a significant increase of clot wt. from the 4th day after withdrawal. There is an inverse relation between sample size and detd. fibrinogen concn. Clot wts. obtained by recalcification agreed well with those obtained by adding thrombin. Dilution of the sample at recalcification reduced the wt. of clot obtained. The ash wt. of the clot was negligible.
