Abstract
An apparent discrepancy between the binding energy of a roton pair determined by measuring the position of the peak in the light-scattering cross section and that determined by fitting the shape of the peak is resolved. By using a theory which includes the finite lifetime of the bound roton pair, the peak shape is fitted with a binding energy of 0.37K, which agrees with the peak position measurement. Keywords
