Abstract
To support global transactions in a multidatabase environment,we must coordinate the activities of multipleDatabase Management Systems, that were designedfor independent, stand-alone operation. Theautonomy and heterogeneity of these systems presenta major impediment to the direct adaptation of transactionmanagement mechanisms developed for distributeddatabase systems. In this paper we addressthe problems in multidatabase recovery. We show thatmost solutions proposed to provide...Keywords
