Abstract
Fourteen patients with generalized purulent peritonitis of gynecologic origin were treated intraoperatively and postoperatively by continuous peritoneal lavage with an antibiotic solution in conjunction with conventional surgical management. Lavage was maintained for a period of 16-36 h. This proved to be a safe and highly effective method. No major complications were encountered. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
