Abstract
The osmoregulatory physiology of aphids is poorly understood, yet it is such small terrestrial insects that face the severest osmotic problems. The lack of progress in this field reflects not only the difficulty of working with insects of such a small size but also the difficulty of obtaining samples of the sap on which they feed. Keywords
