Abstract
Pentamethyldisilanyl trifluoromethanesulfonate (PMDT) is synthesized from hexamethyldisilane and trifluoromethanesulfonic acid. The pentamethyldisilanyl ethers of some primary, secondary and tertiary allylic alcohols are prepared by the reaction of their lithium alkoxides with PMDT in the presence of hexamethylphosphoramide. Keywords
