Abstract
During the last few years opinions have been divided on the advantages and disadvantages of oxygen administration in pregnancy and during labor. We review the present knowledge regarding the influence of maternal oxygen inhalation on the fetus. We conclude that the fetus may benefit from oxygen therapy during pregnancy and labor. Keywords
