Abstract
Water turnover in blesbok and impala was studied in the field. Water turnover of the impala was double that of blesbok, this difference was related to crude protein values in the diet. These facts are related to the evolutionary adaptations of the species. Key words: Water turnover, protein intake, impala, blesbokKeywords
