Abstract
A fully off-shell generalisation of the variable-phase method is proposed. Equations are presented for interpolating T- and K-matrix functions and an appropriate off-energy-shell unitarity relation is derived. The spatial behaviour of the on- and off-shell T-matrix functions is studied for a soft-core potential. Keywords
