Abstract
Since most managerial careers do not involve crossing the boundaries between public and private sectors, managers’ perceptions of their counterparts may be based on stereotypes rather than experience. Research found that a sample of public and private managers thought that they differed more from each other than actually was the case when they were measured by standard tests.Keywords
