Abstract
Different kind of reflective layers are sandwiched between the photoconductor and the Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal (FLC), and the electrooptics properties of such Optically Addressed Spatial Light Modulator (OASLM) are then observed, compared and discussed. New methods of characterisation for these fast switching devices are introduced. The synchronisation of a uniform illumination to erase the OASLM allows us to obtain frame rates of 5kHz for 2.5mW/cm2 write light illumination. Keywords
