Abstract
L-dopa treatment provoked an irregular breathing pattern and dyspnea in a patient with Parkinson's disease. This side effect strongly limited adequate antiparkinsonian treatment with L-dopa. Simultaneous administration of L-dopa and tiapride resulted in improvement of parkinsonian symptoms and suppressed the respiratory side effect completely. Keywords
