Photoisomerization studies of pinacyanol using nanosecond time‐resolved resonance cars

Abstract
Resonance CARS spectra of the short‐lived photoisomer of pinacyanol were obtained. From the CARS line frequencies, intensities, line shapes and depolarization ratios it can be concluded that a cis‐isomer rather than a twisted configuration is observed.Keywords
