A new type of instrument to measure the complex piezoelectric stress constant and the complex tensile modulus of polymers

Abstract
The principle of measurement employed has the combined merits of the 'null detection method' and the 'direct reading method'. The instrument is simply operated to give high precision data over a wide range of frequency from 3.5-110 Hz and a temperature range from liquid nitrogen temperature to about 250 degrees C. Activation energies and the complex piezoelectric strain constant can be also evaluated.
