Abstract
Total hemolymph cell counts were made on 26 marine invertebrates (crustaceans, echinoderms, molluscs, worms, and Limulus). Values ranged from 2.7 [plus or minus] 0.8 (standard deviation) to 78.9 [plus or minus] 31.9 thousand cells per mm.3 hemolymph. Counts of adult tend to exceed those of young Limulus. Mitotic indices were found to be less than 1 mitotic figure per 2000 cells. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
