Abstract
The second virial coefficients of 1,1-difluoroethane, 1,1,1-trifluoroethane, 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane and 1-chloro-1,1-difluoroethane have been calculated on the basis of two-centre-Lennard-Jones + superimposed dipole model potentials and compared with experimental results. These can be explained taking into account the reduced dipole moments and the angle between dipole moment and molecular axis. Keywords
