Abstract
An investigation is made of the final-state hadrons produced in association with muons by a 225-GeV beam interacting with a Lucite target. It is found that the hadrons produced in association with muon pairs do not differ significantly from hadrons produced in any other inelastic interaction. Cross sections for production in Lucite and Pb and upper limits for charmed-particle production are obtained. A comparison is made with models of production.
