Abstract
Amide groups of the 'soluble' tryptic peptides (residues 1–82 and 117–146) of the β-chain of horse hemoglobin are: position 2, Gln; 19, Asn; 39, Gln; 50, Asn; 57, Asn; 80, Asn; 127, Gln; 131, Gln; 139, Asn.The heretofore undetermined sequence involving residues 52–54 is Gly∙Ala∙Val.The identifications of residues 20, 43, and 72 have been confirmed as Glu, Asp, and Gly.Keywords
