Abstract
The conventional staggered solution of pore fluid‐soil interaction problems is shown to suffer from stability restriction. This paper presents a stabilized form of the staggered solution procedure of the problem. Computational overhead for this stabilization is shown to be modest and hence this stabilized procedure is recommended for production implementation for pore fluid‐soil interaction analysis. Keywords
