Abstract
A thermal diffusion column employing methane gas has been constructed for the purpose of concentrating . A determination of the separation factor of the column for various pressures indicated a quantitative agreement between experiment and the theory of Furry, Jones and Onsager. When a reservoir was attached to the top of the column it was possible to produce methane containing over four times the normal amount of .
