Abstract
Total white cell counts were made on 50 persons (a) just after they had awakened in the morning after a full night''s rest; (b) after they had been up and walking around for about an hour. The existence of a "basal level" of the leucocyte count as described by Garrey was not confirmed. Activity was accompanied by no change in 26 of the subjects, by a decrease in count in 14 and an increase in 10. The counts made at rest ranged from 4700 to 11,500, those during activity from 3500 to 11,500.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
