Abstract
Chromium in bovine liver was determined rapidly by atomic absorption spectrometry with a modified carbon rod atomiser. Pre-treatment of samples was minimised by the sequential introduction of mixtures of nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen and methane into the atomiser. An optical device facilitated increased precision of injection of samples. The effectiveness of the method was confirmed by the determination of chromium in a certified sample. Keywords
