Abstract
The mitochondrion is a semiautonomous organelle, which contains genetic information coding for a class of inner membrane proteins whose translation occurs on mitochondrial ribosomes. The proteins encoded in mitochondrial DNA and synthesized in the organelle are few in number, and they have been identified to be subunit components of respiratory complexes and of the ATPase. This publication has 33 references indexed in Scilit:
