Abstract
A method is described for continuous rearing of Distantiella theobroma (Dist.) in the laboratory at approximately 75°F. and 65 per cent, relative humidity. Adults were caged on young cocoa twigs, and the mated females transferred to cocoa seedlings for egg-laying; 24 hours after hatching, the nymphs were transferred to unripe cocoa pods. The egg and nymphal stages lasted about 14–16 and 23 days, respectively. Keywords
