Lattice Hamiltonian in physical gauges

Abstract
The form of the lattice Hamiltonian for an arbitrary non-Abelian lattice gauge theory is derived in an arbitrary physical gauge, using the transfer-matrix formalism. The final result is shown to be manifestly Hermitian and polynomial in the link variables.Keywords
