Defects in doped polyacetylene: An a b i n i t i o infrared and Raman spectroscopy of solitons

Abstract
We report complete vibrational spectra, including IR and Raman intensities of C22H24, C21H+23, and C12H++14, as models for pure and doped polyacetylene. The results provide definitive evidence for charged solitonic rather than bipolaronic defects.
